Market Locations

Effimax is currently focused on photovoltaic manufacturers in the United States, China, and Taiwan. We work with manufacturers who produce either crystaline silicon modules or thin-film modules.

Headquarters

Effimax Solar's corporate office is located in Champaign, Illinois at the UIUC EnterpriseWorks building in Research Park. This university-sponsored building has helped launch 70 successful start-up companies. The offices include an extensive array of equipment, conference rooms, presentation facilities, and full wet-chemistry labs.

History

Effimax Solar was founded in 2011 at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Yi Chen (Ph.D) recruited an entreprenurial team of four other members. With collective backgrounds in business management, finance, marketing, communication, and information technology, the team produced a series of increasingly sophisticated business plans and promotional materials.

The Effimax team went on to compete in several of the country's most prestigious start-up business competitions. Effimax established its solid foundation after achieving a first place victory in the University of Illinois 2011 Cozad New Venture Competition. Today, the Effimax team consists of the original dedicated founders.
